Apendicite Crônica/Chronic appendicitis

           A inflamação crônica é a inflamação de duração prolongada (semanas a meses) em que a inflamação ,injúria tecidual e tentativas de reparo coexistem em várias combinações. Ela pode se seguir a inflamação aguda ou pode se iniciar insidiosamente, como uma resposta de baixo grau e latente,sem nenhuma manifestação de uma reação aguda.As principais causas são as infecções persistentes por micro-organismos,doença inflamatórias imunomediadas e exposição prolongada a agentes potencialmente tóxicos exógenos ou endógenos.

Translation : Chronic inflammation is the inflammation of prolonged duration (weeks or months) in which inflammation, tissue injury and repair attempts to coexist in various combinations. It may follow acute inflammation or may begin insidiously, as a low-grade response and latent, without any manifestation of an acute reaction. The main causes are persistent infections triggered by microorganisms, immune-mediated inflammatory disease and exposure to potentially toxic agents exogenous or endogenous.
